Who should apply?
You’ll be driven, self-motivated and have at least 7 years of quality commercial litigation experience. You’ll be a team player who is focused on building strong relationships. You will have established drafting, procedural and technical skills, particularly in shareholder and business separation disputes, contract disputes and insolvency law.
Your technical base will be strong, with a proven ability to grow and nurture client and referrer relationships.
You will also have experience in supervising and developing direct reports.
What does a typical day involve?
Matters within the team range from shareholder, and business separation disputes, contract and partnership disputes, oppression and fraud cases, sale of goods, credit law, corporate and personal insolvency (including public examinations), securities and breach of directors’ duties claims.
You’ll have the opportunity to both manage files autonomously and oversee their progression from start to finish, and work closely with a Principal on complex litigious matters. You’ll also be the primary contact for key clients and build lasting connections as you progress in your career with us.
File work will include running matters through to trial in all jurisdictions, appearing at mediations and settlement conferences, advocacy, conducting voidable transaction proceedings and providing insolvency law advice.
